Return to Llangollen Railway – Services T&Cs 2020

Terms & Conditions Non-Stop Services

Non-Stop services operate from Llangollen to Carrog. These are return services, which will last approx. 90 minutes.

Passengers will not be able to leave the station at Carrog and must return in the same seats on the same train that they traveled out on.

Services are pre-book only. Compartments will hold a maximum of 8 persons.  Children are classed as a passenger from 1+ years old. This is due to capacity restrictions. Children aged under 1 year, can travel sat on a guardians lap.

Discount passes, members passes and offers are not valid on these services.

Please wear a face covering or mask whilst moving around the railway and on the train. These may be removed whilst seated in a compartment but must be replaced on leaving the compartment. Those exempt include children under 11 years old, passengers with disabilities, those with breathing difficulties and anyone travelling with someone who relies on lip reading.

Please remember to bring your travel confirmation with you on the day of travel and aim to arrive at the station at least 15 to 30 minutes before the departure time.

In order for us to facilitate social distancing for passengers entering and existing the station there will be no disabled parking facilities available at Llangollen Station.  All passengers will need to park in the local display car parks so should allow plenty of time to park.

Passengers who require the use of a wheelchair can access the train via the Guards Van. Tickets are extremely limited and you will need to telephone the office to book a wheelchair space.  Passengers will need to have pre booked and made us aware they are in a wheel chair. Passengers travelling with pushchairs will have their push chairs placed in the guards van via a member of station staff.

Covid-19 Control measures

We have introduced one-way systems at Llangollen to ensure passengers can socially distance.

Where possible, please make all payments contact free by card when purchasing any catering or retail products.

Enhanced cleaning regimes. We will be cleaning carriages / compartments after each service.

Hand Sanitisers will be available.

Limited availability of refreshments. Although we will endeavour to provide refreshments on the day of your visit, these will be limited to takeaway products.

We will be asking passengers to maintain social distancing whilst using our facilities. There will be no on-board toilets available.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to visit the following areas at this time without a valid ticket for travel: Station Café, Llangollen Station platform, toilet facilities.

Refunds and Cancellation

Due to services being pre-booked we won’t be able to amend your booking once purchased.  If you miss your service we will endeavour to accommodate your party on an alternative service, however if this is not achievable tickets will not be refundable.

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 we would ask that you or members of your party or family group do not visit the railway.

In the event we are unable to operate a service we will provide a full refund.

We reserve the right to suspend, reschedule or cancel services if operational circumstances or safety make this necessary.
