Driver Experiences 2013

All experiences include:

 All Day Freight Experience - £475 per person

This gives the participant the chance to drive, fire, assist the guard and try their hand at shunting. Included in the day is a short lunch break. These experiences are ideal for individuals or for groups of up to 6 people. They are available on selected days in March & October. Please note - passengers cannot be accommodated on this experience.

 2013 dates - Tuesday 8th October (6 spaces available)

Steam Locomotive Experience- £395 per person

This two hour experience enables the participant to drive and fire a steam engine, hauling passenger carriages, on the 15 mile round trip from Llangollen to Carrog. It also includes a guided tour of the engine shed. The participant will be able to bring up to four family or friends, over the age of 12, to travel behind. This experience takes place on selected Saturdays in March and September and Sundays from April to September.

2013 dates - Sunday 26th May (4 spaces available), Sunday 30th June (3 spaces available), Sunday 21st July (5 spaces available), Sunday 8th September (2 spaces available), Saturday 28th September (6 spaces available)

Evening Ramble - £225 per person

The participant will have the chance to drive and fire a steam engine without carriages from Llangollen to the outskirts of Glyndyfrdwy and back.  It also includes a guided tour of the engine shed. This experience is available on selected weekday evenings from April to September. Please note-guests cannot be accommodated on this experience.

 2013 dates - Wednesday 8th May (FULL), Tuesday 11th June (1 space left), Tuesday 9th July (1 space left), Tuesday 13th August (full) Tuesday 3rd September (2 spaces left)

Diesel Locomotive Experience - £350 per person

The participant will be the sole driver which will enable them to drive a diesel locomotive, hauling passenger carriages, on the full 15 mile round trip from Llangollen to Carrog. The participant will be able to bring up to four family or friends, over the age of 12, to travel behind. This takes place on selected days from May to September.

 2013 dates - Saturday 25th May (1 space left), Saturday 13th July (1 space left), Saturday 7th September (1 space left)

Heritage Railcar (DMU) Experience - £210 per person

The participant will be the sole driver on this experience. They will drive a full 15 mile round trip from Llangollen to Carrog under full supervision. Up to four family or friends, over the age of 12, can also travel. This will take place on selected weekend dates from April to September.

2013 dates -Saturday 11th May (full), Saturday 29th June (1 space left), Saturday 20th July (full), Saturday 14th September (full)
