INFRASTRUCTURE
Llangollen Railway is not just Trains.
Track, buildings, workshops, bridges, signal boxes, signalling systems and a host of other things are all required to keep a railway running smoothly.
And, of course, volunteers are needed to carry out all the tasks associated with this smooth operation.
Llangollen Station has been fully refurbished with the aid of a Heritage Lottery Grant. There has been a station in Llangollen for 140 years and the refurbishment is intended to give it another 140 years of life so our grand children and great grandchildren can enjoy it just as we do now.
Llangollen Railway has several such buildings and structures under its care, our next challenges are the refurbishment of Berwyn Station and the Dee Bridge.
